When does the league start? 
January 6, 2025 

What days of the week do we play? 
Matches will be played on Tuesdays and Thursday. Each player only has one match per week, so you will play 8 matches during league play. 

What time are matches played at? 
Matches will be scheduled between 6:00PM and 7:30PM 

How long does the league run? 
The league will go for 8 weeks from January 6 until February 26. We will have a tournament during the week of March 1st to finish the season. 

What are the prizes? 
Prizes will depend on how many people play in the league. We will announce prizes for top players in the league play and winners of the post-season tournament. 

What is the cost? 
The cost is $60 per player. This pays for your play time while playing your league matches and will be used for end of season prizes for winners.

What is the league structure? 
This depends on the number of people that sign up. If enough people sign up, we would like to have 3 divisions (A-Advanced, B-Intermediate, C-Beginner). For this first season of league play, we will only be playing singles. 

What is the competition level in the league?
Our main goal is for this league to be fun and recreational. We will try to match players of similar skill in scheduling, but there may be times when you play someone at a higher or lower skill level. If you are looking for a super competitive environment where every point is a battle and the competition is fierce, then this may not be the league for you. However, if you love table tennis and want to just have some fun playing, get to know some new people, and have a great time we think the Rally league will be a great fit.

How are players rated? 
Players will supply their own ratings. To ensure the best competition, please be honest with your ratings. 

How are the matches played? 
Each match is best of 5 games. Games are played to 11 and must be won by two points. Players alternate serves every two points.  Players will be given time to warm up before each match. A complete list of rules will be sent out before play begins. 

What are the other league rules? 
We will send out a full list of rules before play begins, but the basic rules include: No fighting or abusive behavior, and no cheating. Players should try to resolve disputes by replaying contested points or asking a staff member for a ruling. Referees are not provided for matches, so players must call their own violations.  

How will scheduling work? 
During sign up, we will ask players what days and times they prefer to play matches. We will try to match players based on preferred times. We will provide a mechanism for resolving scheduling issues so players do not have to forfeit matches due to schedule changes. 

How will Rally Recreation communicate with players in the league? 
After sign up, we will communicate via email but may also set up additional tools like a Discord server, WhatsApp group or other league management software.
